A few tips on my preferred way for setting the grab loops and tying them to canoe lacing. the emphasis on how i set my canoe up is for expedition paddling in scotland and northern european rivers. Canoe buoyancy lashing kit . lashing kit for securing buoyancy air bags & wedges into an open canoe. the kit consists of p clips, rivets & cord. the p clips are riveted to the underside of the gunwale. the cord can then be laced through to hold the buoyancy in place. one kit required to lash in 2 ends of a canoe.. The two-piece design allows easy access to gear without removing the cover from the canoe. it is most convenient to lace the spray cover on in 3 parts. lace the bow and stern areas past the cockpits and secure with knots. you can then open and close the mid-section separately without disturbing the lacing of the rest of the cover..
